Pixelating images

Today we learnt about pixelation and how to create this on an imagine but also thinking about how this can transfer into paintings.

Artist Marcus Harvey created a Myra Hindley painting in 1995. It was made using casts of an infant's hand to build up a mosaic of black, grey and white handprints, which from a distance liked like a full painting but on close inspection it looks pixelated.



American artist Adam Lister creates amazing reproductions of classic paintings using a pixelated art effect with watercolours.
